On Wednesday, April 8th, our sweet Royce was diagnosed with B-lymphoblastic leukemia and had to be life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital. Our family’s world changed overnight. On Thursday, he underwent surgery to place a port, along with a bone marrow aspiration and spinal tap—just the beginning of a long and intense journey ahead. His treatment plan will span approximately 2.5 years, with the most aggressive phase in the first 6–9 months, including 18 spinal taps, frequent hospital stays, and ongoing blood and platelet transfusions—something we’ve already begun. Royce and his mom are currently at Primary Children’s Hospital and expect to be there for at least the next month as Royce starts this fight.
