Support Roy Moravitz's Fight Against Cancer

Hello, my name is Jessica Quesada and I appreciate you taking the time to read my story.

As many of you may already know our family has recently been hit with some devastating news. My dad, Roy Moravitz, has recently been diagnosed with cancer.

My dad has always been a hardworking man. He worked as a farmer for a produce company here in south Texas for over 35 years. From sun up to sun down he worked tirelessly to provide for our family. It has been heartbreaking to see one of the strongest men I know, go from tending to crops, working on tractors and running around with his grand children to suddenly becoming very weak and eventually losing his ability to walk in just a few short weeks.

After countless appointments with multiple doctors bringing us no answers as to why he suddenly couldn’t walk, a final trip to the emergency room revealed my dad has cancer. Further testing showed it is stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. It is a cancer that began in his left kidney and has metastasized to his lymph nodes, lungs and brain. We are currently working with an oncologist and a functional medicine doctor to come up with the best possible treatment plan.

Even through all this, when my dad should be worrying about himself, his only concern is making sure my mom is going to be okay. My goal with this go fund me is to alleviate as much financial burden as possible for my parents, so that my dad can focus all his energy on fighting this cancer. If you know my dad personally, you know he has never backed down from a fight, and he is not about to start now.

Thankfully my parents were able to get health insurance while my dad was in the hospital, but unfortunately life insurance could not be obtained. All money donated will go directly to my parents to cover any treatment and therapies not covered by insurance, and any other financial obligations my parents have at home.
