Roy Catoe tragically lost his best friend, hunting partner, and son on April 12th, 2025. Santonio T. Catoe was a dedicated father, friend, and truly hardworking young man, just 39 years old.

We are requesting donations to help offset attorney fees related to obtaining custody of his son TJ, and to bring him to South Carolina. As N.C. has unique rules, and given the differing legal framework in North Carolina, we must retain an attorney to navigate the process and pursue custody. Regrettably, we have not seen him since the funeral and are unable to obtain assistance from the system without legal counsel.

Tony had a deep passion for fishing, hunting, and serving the community as a canine officer and retired Marine. Even on April 12th, he was doing something he truly was passionate about, and that was fishing with his son TJ (11 years old). Right in the sweetest moments, Tony was taken away from us. Tony was on a boating trip when he was struck by lightning and lost his precious life. We are going to miss Tony deeply because it was sudden and unexpected. We're reaching out to anyone who will contribute a donation to help with the legal battle we are facing to obtain custody of TJ and to bring him to SC so his family can love on him and take care of him.
