Hi! I'm Rowan. At only a year old, I was diagnosed with spastic triaplegia with dystonia, which is a form of cerebral palsy. This means that my muscles are very tight and are causing me pain. Recently, I've had Botox injections in three parts of each of my legs to try to relax my muscles. Unfortunately, the doctors decided that this was not enough and I must undergo a life-altering surgery to improve my quality of life.
My surgery will take place at Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, which is six hours from my home. I will be in leg casts for quite some time and will have to go through inpatient and outpatient therapy. My family and I are trying to raise money so they can stay close to me while I recover.
