Hello! I'm Rowan (or Pit if you know me via furry), a nonbinary transmasc in their thirties. After years of thinking and wanting and waiting, I'm finally getting top surgery next month! Now I'm here to ask my community for help.

Thankfully, my health insurance covers the mastectomy part of the surgery, but I have to pay out of pocket for liposuction as insurance classes it as “cosmetic.” In reality, this part of the procedure is just as necessary for me to relieve my dysphoria and finally be able to see myself when looking in the mirror.

Including the surgeon's fee, OR and anesthesia fees, post-op compression garments, and other supplies needed for recovery, my surgery costs are over $5,000. Help with some of these costs would allow me to heal without the mental burden of financial stress.
