Rothko is a rescue dog from Texas! He never barks (even though it would totally be okay if he did!!) and he is so gentle to kids, cats, and dogs alike. He is sweet and looks like the prince of the fairies.
He had a collapse event a month ago and we found out he had a tumor near his heart. AMC, the animal hospital, has suggested stereotactic radiation which will cost between 14-16 thousand dollars.
I won't give up on him because his organs are still all in good shape!
He is a Poodle, Chihuahua, Rat Terrier, and Dachshund mix! Truly a unique and beautiful little guy. He brings joy to everyone around him. Please consider sharing a dollar or whatever you can afford to help him!
The costs include:
- 3 Sessions of SRT Radiation (directed at the tumor) $11,000-12,000
- Anesthesiologist attending $1,200-1,300
- Anesthesia Drugs $600-1200
- Possible Pericardiocentesis (if needed during administration) $600-700
- Blood testing between $700-800
These are the estimates provided by Schwarzman Animal Medical Center
Anything left over (if all costs are lower than expected will go toward his follow-up appointments which will include an X-ray, ultrasound, and possible further treatment.
