Hi, I'm John Kasab and I'm organizing a new fundraiser for Ross Isaacs to cover medical and living expenses. Here's his story:

"On November 13, I was taken by ambulance to Maimonedes Hospital in Brooklyn for severe abdominal pain. After being admitted, I was diagnosed with a large mass of undigested food blocking my small intestines. The doctors ordered an immediate medical procedure to clear the mass, but they could only reach half the mass.

"For the next ten days [in the hospital], I was given two laxatives and four enemas every day to clear what was left. After seven painful days, I passed the blockage.

"But I suffered a large amount of bleeding, which worried the doctors. They ordered a new CT scan, which found a large mass in my colon. They then scheduled a colonoscopy. They found a large mass of polyps, of which they could only remove five. They suspect the blockage was caused by these polyps."

[Ross has some lingering (and embarrassing) effects of the treatment and he has to go back to have the remaining polyps removed.] Ross continues:

"Meanwhile, I used up my unemployment benefits. I cannot reapply at this time. I only have $250 left in my bank account and I'm facing huge bills due to my 10 day stay in the hospital. I am applying for welfare assistance, but we all know how that works. I have signed up to Ebay to sell my collectibles, which may help.

"I have no health insurance so I am responsible for this huge bill on my own, while also not having any income for food or bills. Electricity will be turned off next month as will my cell phone, so I will not be able to search for work. I need any help anyone can provide to help pay this massive hospital bill while helping me to survive until I can find a new job."
