Help Support Ross Balderas in His Battle Against Brain Cancer

Ross Balderas is a loving husband to Rachael, an incredible “Pops” to Christian, Eleanor, and Draco, a devoted dad to their three dogs, and a cherished member of the AV Concepts video department. Over the past few years, Ross has been struggling with persistent health issues, and for the last six months, he has endured debilitating migraines. Despite visiting numerous doctors, he hadn’t received any answers—until recently.

On Tuesday, September 10, during lunch at work, Ross experienced a seizure, followed by another at the hospital. Once again, doctors were unable to determine the cause, and he was sent home after a brief stay. That weekend, feeling unwell again, he asked Rachel to call an ambulance.

Ross was admitted to Banner Hospital, where tests revealed a growth on his brain. A biopsy confirmed their worst fears: it is brain cancer. At just 44 years old, Ross now faces a long and challenging road to recovery, beginning with surgery to remove the tumor, followed by chemotherapy.

We are looking to raise $20,000 to assist this rad homie with his medical bills for this surprise diagnosis. His employer, AV Concepts, will be matching the first $10,000.

For 14 years, Ross has been a vital part of the audio-visual community in the Phoenix area. In his free time, he expresses his artistic side through painting miniature figurines, drawing, and 3D printing. He’s even won pumpkin carving contests during his favorite holiday, Halloween! When he’s not cooking authentic Mexican dishes, baking banana nut bacon bread, or watching classic horror movies, Ross enjoys attending punk shows. One of his lifetime dreams is to visit Ireland.
