Help Ross While He Waits for a Liver—and Possibly Kidney—Transplant
Hi, my name is Jenny Haeseker, and I am raising funds for Ross Knoll, a devoted father, friend, and longtime member of our community.
Ross is a graduate of West Ottawa High School and Grand Valley State University and owned an insurance office for over 20 years. Most importantly, he is the proud father of two teenage boys who need their dad.
Ross is currently waiting for a life-saving liver transplant, and possibly a kidney transplant as well. He recently began dialysis and is undergoing a cardiac catheterization as part of the transplant approval process. We are prayerfully hoping this procedure goes well so Ross can leave the hospital and continue waiting for a transplant at home. Every day is filled with uncertainty as we wait for the call that a matching liver is available—this surgery is Ross’s only path forward.
Over the past year, this journey has been emotionally, physically, and financially overwhelming. Because of his condition, Ross has been unable to work for nearly a year. He is receiving care at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, and the constant travel between home and Detroit has taken a tremendous toll on both Ross and his family.
The costs add up quickly—medical bills, dialysis, medications, insurance gaps, travel, lodging, special dietary needs, and lost income. Right now, our focus is simply keeping Ross healthy and strong enough for transplant, without the constant worry of how the next bill will be paid.
This is why we are asking for help.
Your donation will go directly toward:
- Medical and transplant-related expenses
- Prescription medications and post-transplant care
- Travel and lodging for ongoing treatment
- Essential medical appointments and daily needs
Every contribution, no matter the amount, truly makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, we ask just as sincerely for your prayers and for help sharing this fundraiser.
We believe deeply in the power of community, prayer, and faith. The love, support, and prayers already shown have been a tremendous source of strength for Ross and his family. Thank you for standing with them during this incredibly difficult time and for helping provide hope for a healthier future. Our faith in the Lord has been our greatest comfort and strength throughout this journey.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Jenny Haeseker
