Smith & Sons Toowoomba are seeking the assistance of the community to rally behind Ross Savill, a pillar of the Toowoomba community for decades. For over 40 years, Ross Savill has dedicated his life to serving others as a leader, mentor, pastor, and fierce advocate for community inclusion.

Based in Toowoomba, Ross is known by many as a humble, tireless community builder. Whether through his work at Hume Ridge Church, his passion for mentoring youth, or his impact on the local sports scene, Ross has quietly and powerfully changed lives. In 2022, he was recognised as an AFL Diversity National Ambassador, and his leadership in transforming local footy through inclusivity earned him one of the country’s highest civilian honours, the Order of Australia Medal (OAM).

Ross has been a devoted Senior Pastor at Hume Ridge Church for the past five years, previously youth Pastor for 35 years - a faithful member of the church for over 40 years. His work has gone beyond leading services; he has been a pillar in the community, providing spiritual guidance, emotional support, and practical help to countless families. Through his unwavering commitment, Ross has fostered a warm, inclusive environment where individuals from all walks of life find comfort, strength, and a sense of belonging. His leadership and compassion have touched the lives of many, particularly those facing hardship.

Ross has spent most of his life helping create safe spaces for our community, now we want to return the favour. Smith & Sons Toowoomba is raising money to help renovate Ross and Jenny’s home to convert it in to a comfortable and liveable space after his treatment.

What We're Raising Funds For:

* Re-do the roof to stop leaks

* Full interior re-paint

* Polished floor repairs

* Accessibility modifications (potential ramps, widening hallways and doorways)

Ross has never sought the spotlight, and he’s certainly never asked for recognition, let alone help. But right now, it’s our turn to step up and show Ross that the community he’s spent decades building is behind him all the way.
