Support Rosiemarie's Journey to Recovery

On December 9, 2025, my wonderful friend Rosiemarie Cruz was taken to the ER after suffering a catastrophic brain aneurysm and stroke at the young age of 64. She spent the next several weeks in the ICU, where she underwent a surgical procedure to stop another brain aneurysm, followed by a lengthy hospital stay. She's now at a skilled nursing facility, relearning how to walk, talk, and regain her normal daily functions.

She's made amazing progress over the past few months, and her determination is inspiring. She's started to walk, can now feed herself, is alert and engaged, but still struggles to find her words and communicate. She has a long, hard road to recovery ahead of her, but Rosiemarie is a fighter with a strong spirit and love for life.

A group of her friends has put together this Go Fund Me campaign with the blessing of Rosiemarie's family to ask for help in covering some of her mounting expenses, as she continues to get stronger day by day. Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated and makes a difference.

A bit more about Rosiemarie: A dentist who runs her own practice and dog mom to her beloved Husky Nanuk—whom she rescued while stationed in Alaska—Rosiemarie has given so much to her community and country. Along with serving in the US Army Reserves, she has volunteered to help at-risk youth as well as provide dental care to low-income patients.

A woman of profoundly deep faith who is active in her church, Rosiemarie has traveled around the world and loves learning about different cultures and countries. Before her stroke, Rosiemarie was very active, hiking Machu Picchu , scuba diving, and running a full marathon in her 60s. She has such a generous heart, a curious mind, an incredible work ethic, and a beautiful spirit that continues to shine, even during her toughest moments in life.

We'll be sharing updates on her progress here. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our amazing friend, sister, aunt, and cousin, and for any contribution you can make. Rosiemarie truly is a miracle and we know she'll come through this experience stronger than ever.
