Rosie is one of the sweetest and hardest working people I have ever met. She does one of the toughest jobs at our workplace, cleaning up after a crew of messy construction workers, and she does it all with a smile. She never complains, never misses a day, and always shows up with humility, strength, and kindness. That is exactly who Rosie is. Even after receiving devastating news about her husband, she still came to work. We told her the office was already clean and that she could skip us for the day, but that moment said everything about her character. Rosie is the kind of person who keeps going, even when her world is falling apart.
Right now, Rosie is facing a heartbreaking loss that no family should have to carry alone. After her husband suffered an aneurysm, she has been holding onto hope through an incredibly painful situation. This Sunday, she will have to make the unimaginably difficult decision to remove him from life support. On top of that grief, Rosie is carrying an overwhelming financial burden. Her family does not have insurance or life insurance, and she is trying to cover final medical bills, transportation and travel arrangements to bring her husband home to Mexico, burial expenses in Mexico, family travel, and time away from work to grieve and be with loved ones. Her deepest wish is to honor her husband and lay him to rest at home.
For Rosie to ask for help at all shows just how desperate this situation is. She is a proud, hardworking woman who has always quietly done her job and taken care of others. Setting that pride aside to ask for support took tremendous humility and courage. If you are able, please consider making a donation to help Rosie and her family through this painful time. Financial support is urgently needed, and every contribution will make a real difference. If you are not able to give, prayers are deeply appreciated and welcomed. Please also share this fundraiser so we can surround Rosie and her family with love, compassion, and support when they need it most.
