Updated June 26th, 2025
In early 2024, Rose Tank was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. She fought tirelessly and was able to spend over a year with her family in her home.
On June 26th, 2025 Rose passed away in her home peacefully in her sleep. Rose was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, and will be deeply missed by her community. Along with her breast cancer diagnosis Rose dealt with Lupus and other health conditions for several years. Though the struggles of her diagnoses were never easy, Rose kept a smile on her face through it all.
Rose was known for her welcoming spirit, homemade pies, and one-of-a-kind crafts. Faith was also largely important to Rose. She often spoke the words of Psalm 118:24 over each day: "This is the day which the Lord hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."
If you were to ask Rose her greatest accomplishment in life, she would have said “having a family.” She deeply loved and was devoted to her husband, Jim, and son, Hunter, as they were to her. Her bright smile, warm hugs, and infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew her.
Any new donations will be used to cover funeral and burial expenses. Services will be held at Jensen Funeral & Cremation in Columbus, WI as well as St. Jerome’s Catholic Church. Date to be determined.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who has already donated, sent prayers, stopped by, and showed support.
