Rosemary Barria is a mother raising two children ages 9 and 3 years old while attending grad school for mental health counseling. Recently, her co parent upended her family's lives through domestic violence and resulting incarceration. As she now faces the uncertainty of the future of single parenthood in a spiraling economy, her loved ones are raising funds to help her with rent and childcare for her youngest son as she finishes grad school.
Rosemary is an artist, a healer, and engaged community member, often raising funds for mutual aid for other single parents. Before this tragedy she homeschooled her children while meeting the demands for the rigorous grad school program she attends and now must work as much as possible to support them through this transition that includes beginning public school.
These funds will not only benefit this precious family in the short term, but are an investment in the greater community. When Rosemary graduates and enters the counseling field professionally, she will help so many with her gifts of care and healing.
