Hello, and thanks for reading this. Like so many businesses here in the Portland area, our little neighborhood comic book shop has suffered multiple instances of break-ins and theft. The most recent one was last Wednesday, July 23rd. This time they smashed in our glass front door before making off with several boxes of comics, including most of our vintage back issue collection. While the loss of comics is a blow to us, the bigger one is that it'll cost us several times the value of the stolen items to replace our door and make security upgrades. There are so many challenges to running a small specialty business- dealing with repeated intrusions and thefts shouldn't be one of them. And yet, here we are. While it's been incredibly frustrating to deal with the fallout from all of this, it's been balanced by the wonderful and generous support from our community. We deeply appreciate it, and look forward to continuing to be the best little comic shop we can be!
