Support Rose and Alessa's Journey to Safety

I’m Stella, and I’m raising funds for my friends Rose and Alessa, a married queer couple from Florida.

Rose and Alessa were moving to Europe to escape an abusive living situation and Ron DeSantis’ war on queer and trans people. Bad weather mid-flight caused a reroute and made them miss their connecting flight, and the airline would neither refund nor rebook them for the significant cost of the tickets. This also meant they lost their job opportunities overseas. They are currently stranded in NYC.

Rose and Alessa are not wealthy people and this move was a considerable investment of time and money. I’m raising funds to help them recover financially and make it back to their destination. They will need to rent a room and pay for necessities while they pick up remote work.

Rose and Alessa deserve a break and more. I love them very much and would consider any help you can give them to be a personal favor.
