Hi friends and family,

This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to write, and I really appreciate you taking the time to read it.

My Rosco boy, my best friend, my shadow, my healing companion, is nearing the end of his beautiful life. At almost 15 years old, he’s been with me through so many chapters and almost all of my adulthood. Always steady, always loving, always there when the world got too heavy.

Those of you who’ve spent time with Rosco know that he’s no ordinary dog. He came into this world with batteries included, no training required, and a wisdom far beyond his years. He’s been my trail buddy, my beach bro, my intuitive healer, and the fastest swimmer I’ve ever met (dog or human). His love for life is contagious. His wolf-like presence drew people in. His gentleman-like grace won them over. And he never turned down a good butt scratch.

Over the past several months, Rosco’s health has been gradually declining. Though his spirit remains strong and kind, his body and cognition are clearly very tired. After deep reflection and some tearful conversations, I’ve made the hard but loving decision to help him transition at home, where he feels safe, held, and loved.

I’m working with an in-home vet to give Rosco a peaceful and dignified passing, surrounded by love. I’ll also be cremating his body and keeping his ashes in a simple memorial to honor his life and our bond.

As many of you know, I left corporate America to build a heart-led business from the ground up this year and finances have been very tight. Asking for help is very difficult for me, but this isn’t about me- it’s about honoring Rosco with a soft landing and the tenderness he’s given so freely.
