In early October, our family received life-changing news: my aunt was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Thankfully, she was able to have Whipple surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital to remove her tumor. She was incredibly strong during her recovery and did very well, showing the courage and determination that inspires everyone around her.

Now she begins the next phase of her treatment, with chemotherapy every other week for the next six months, along with regular scans and appointments. She is determined to fight this cancer with positivity and strength, and we want to help her focus on healing without the added stress of financial burdens.

We created this GoFundMe to support her and her family with medical expenses, travel costs, and lost income during treatment. She lives with her husband, her mother, and her two children — and together they are facing this challenge with hope and resilience.

My aunt has always been an advocate for others. As a DOJ Accredited Representative, she helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. She has dedicated her life to helping people in their most difficult moments, and now it’s our turn to support her through this journey.
