My name is Rosario, and I am reaching out for help during the most difficult time of my life. My leave without pay begins on February 26th, and on March 2nd, I am scheduled to have a pacemaker surgery. I have no insurance. As a single parent to my 11-year-old daughter, Catherine Rose, I receive no child support and am doing my best to be both mom and dad for her. The financial strain of this situation is overwhelming, and I am struggling to cover our basic living expenses, as well as the mounting medical bills.
Over the past several years, I have faced a series of serious health challenges, including ileus, GI bleeds, sepsis of the kidneys, C-Diff, and even undergoing a fecal transplant. I have also left a domestic violence relationship and endured a mental health crisis. I was diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia, and on December 30th, I had an episode that led to a call from my cardiologist on January 2nd. I was told I had a transient complete heart block (CHB), which caused syncope while driving and near-syncope episodes at random. CHB is a condition where the heart chambers are not communicating properly, resulting in a slow and irregular heartbeat. Now, after two years of managing my health and living expenses, I am faced with the urgent need for a pacemaker.
The funds raised will help cover our basic necessities, living expenses, pre-op bills, and the cost of the pacemaker surgery. I have managed to get through so much on my own, but this time, I truly need the support of my community. Any help you can offer would mean the world to me and my daughter. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for standing by us during this critical time.
