Rosa* left behind everything she knew to come to the United States and give her youngest daughter, Katia, a chance to survive, grow, and have a dignified life. Katia was born with severe physical and mental disabilities and needs a wheelchair, a feeding tube, and specialized medical and educational care.
Here in Montgomery County, Katia is a joyful young girl who is deeply loved by her school community. She receives specialized instruction, nursing services, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy, along with excellent medical care from a highly qualified team.
Rosa went to her immigration court appointment but they rejected her application, and now Rosa and Katia are facing possible deportation. If they are forced to return to El Salvador, Katia would lose the essential medical and educational services that have given her a life with dignity, and Rosa is deeply afraid for her daughter’s life and well-being.
Today, this family needs our help to fight against deportation, cover legal fees, medical equipment, and other essential needs. ❤️ Any donation, no matter the amount, can make a meaningful difference. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this campaign to help Katia remain healthy, safe, and surrounded by the care she needs.
