I’m writing this on behalf of my sister Rosa and Big Rick's BBQ who pour their heart into everything they do. They are the kind of people who show up early, work long days, and believe deeply in earning what they have. Asking for help is not something they ever imagined doing—but right now, they need support.

After years of hard work, they’ve hit a season that has tested them in ways they didn’t expect. Rising costs and unexpected expenses drained their savings, and this month several critical business licenses, permits, and insurance renewals came due all at once. On top of that, needed repairs had to be put on hold, leaving them overwhelmed and stretched thin. At the same time, unexpected health setbacks made it even harder to keep up, but they pushed themselves to work despite physical challenges.

They are doing everything they can to keep their business alive—not just for themselves, but for their family and the community they serve. This fundraiser is not about handouts. It’s about giving them a chance to breathe, to catch up, and to continue doing the honest work they love.
