Hi, my name is Rory Lutz. I’m a dad living in NYC. I don’t know where to start, but over the course of the summer, my partner, who was living with me for 2 years, started to steal from me. She was claiming to be paying the bills but wasn’t. She also used my debit card without me knowing. She left with no warning and has blocked all communication. I’m now struggling to catch up. I will now have to downsize apartments because of this hassle. I’ve been out of work since January and I’m extremely worried about the near future.

I’m a dad with a 9-year-old child. I’m pretty handy and trying to make ends meet by doing side work and odd jobs as I wait for the call to go back to work. I never in my wildest dreams imagined I’d have to ask people for help. It stinks, but I know that we’re all struggling. I have a great support team and great friends. But truth be told, I need help. I don’t know how this works. I know that I need help at this time in my life. I’ve been blindsided by this on so many levels.

I don’t know what to expect but I know I need help. This has left me feeling unsafe in my own home and overwhelmed.

im hoping to be able to find a new apartment and pay the bills she left me with and the security deposit in the new apartment. Im hoping to be able to use my security deposit for the last month I live here. Any help would mean the world to me.
