Rory was first diagnosed with colon cancer and underwent a major surgery in Nov, 2025 that gave us real hope. For a time, everything pointed in the right direction—clear scans, negative tests, and the belief that we could begin moving forward.
Then everything changed.
Recent testing revealed that the cancer has spread to his peritoneum. This diagnosis—Stage 4 peritoneal carcinomatosis—means we are now facing a far more aggressive and complex path forward.
We are currently pursuing consultations and treatment options that may include:
- Advanced surgical intervention (such as peritonectomy/CRS)
- Specialized oncology care at leading cancer centers
- Ongoing treatment and monitoring
These decisions are time-sensitive—and access matters.
What Happens Next-
The next 90 days are critical.
- Specialist consultations to determine surgical candidacy
- Coordination with top-tier treatment centers
- Potential major surgery and recovery
- Follow-up treatment planning
The speed at which we can act—and the options available to us—are directly impacted by financial resources.
Why We’re Asking for Help-
We are asking for help so that financial barriers never determine Rory’s care.
Your support allows us to:
- Pursue the best possible medical teams and treatment options
- Travel for specialized care without delay
- Offset lost income as we shift into caregiving
- Maintain stability for our family during an incredibly uncertain time
We are doing everything within our control—but we cannot do this part alone.
What Your Support Makes Possible-
$250 → Travel for a critical medical appointment
$1,000 → One week of lodging near a treatment center
$5,000 → A meaningful portion of surgical and treatment costs
$10,000+ → Helps unlock access to advanced, life-extending care options
Every contribution moves us forward.
Transparency & Updates-
We are committed to transparency and will share regular updates on:
- Treatment plans and progress
- How funds are being used
- Milestones and next steps
A Personal Note
This is about more than medical care.
It’s about quality of life time for Rory to be present as a father, a partner, for Marica to be available as a caregiver to Rory and all the kids, and part of the moments we thought we had ahead of us.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your support could truly change something for someone—this is that moment.
If you’re able to give, share, or connect us with someone who might be able to help—we are deeply grateful.
We are holding onto hope.
And we are fighting for more time.
And to make the most of the time we have.
