Help Restore a Historic 1940s Schoolhouse & Provide Fresh Air for Students!

Hello, my name is Tishia Wingate, and I’m answering an urgent call to restore Hammock Consolidated School, a cherished 1940s schoolhouse, and transform it into Roots Academy—a modern, child-centered school designed to give students a safe, engaging, and inspiring place to learn.

Why We Need Your Help

One of our first priorities is replacing the old, unsafe windows in the building. These outdated windows are broken, inefficient, and limit ventilation, preventing us from creating the healthy, open-air learning environment that students deserve. A Vision for Restoration

This historic schoolhouse is ready for a second chance! Along with new windows, we are working on flooring, fencing, painting, and structural repairs to create a safe and welcoming space for students. Much of the funding is in place, but we urgently need additional donations to ensure that can cover any hidden costs that may arise in the process! And if money is left over after the windows have been restored we will use it to reach our forest space goals even sooner!
