On July 19th, 2025, the lives of Kristie and her child, Roo, changed dramatically when Roo was injured. Since that day, their family has faced a whirlwind of hospital visits and overnight stays. Roo underwent spinal surgery on November 12th, and today, December 4th, he is having another procedure done on his spine. Each step has been challenging, but Roo’s strength and resilience have inspired everyone around him to keep going, even when things feel overwhelming.

As Roo’s mom, Kristie has had to take time off work to be by his side, which has meant no pay for several weeks. The bills are piling up quickly—medical expenses, household costs, and everything in between. Kristie has only been able to work three days in the past three weeks, making it incredibly hard to keep up with everything while ensuring Roo gets the care he needs.
