Hi there. If you're reading this, you probably know me--Maybe as Roo, Olympia, or Zachary, and you probably know my wife Sam, too. Recently, my wife and I have had a life change that incurs a new, significant financial burden. Because of this, we have had to withdraw from school, and are returning to the professional world. As you know, we both returned to education relatively "late" in life, both of us on tracks towards graduate-level education. We both graduated with our associate's degrees--me in Psychology, my wife in Art with a focus towards conservation--both of us earning positions on the Dean's List every semester, and both of us earning distinction as the "Most Outstanding Student" within our respective departments when we graduated in Spring 2024. From there, we went to SUNY Fredonia, and it was during our fall semester there that circumstances changed, necessitating our withdrawal and return to the broader workforce.
I have a secure job lined up, but delays in the hiring process have meant that rather than starting in January, as I originally believed I would, I will not be starting until February. Meanwhile, my wife is interviewing for positions, with some scheduled now. All this to say that once my job begins, we will be able to manage our daily bills. But because of this delay, we have a number of bills we cannot afford to fall behind on. Namely car payments, insurance, monthly payments towards debts, and daily expenses like groceries, or gas for making our way between interviews, or in my case, to odd jobs that I am trying to do to close the financial gap.
Because these odd jobs haven't been sufficient, we turn to you with hope and gratitude in our hearts.
