Support Rony's Family After Tragic Loss

My name is Carson McNair. On the morning of January 23, 2025, around 6:30 a.m., a coworker called me, worried because my best friend hadn’t shown up for work. Feeling uneasy, I checked his phone location and saw he was at the hospital. My heart sank, and I rushed over, only to learn he had been in a devastating motorcycle accident on his way to work. From that moment on, everything became a blur. My best friend was critically injured, and later, I received the heartbreaking news that he didn’t make it.
Rony Gonzalez, just 20 years old, was an incredible friend, a loving son, and a devoted brother. He had a heart so big that he’d never think twice about helping anyone who needed him. No matter what was going on, Rony always found a way to keep smiling and stay positive. He spent so much of his time supporting his twin sister, and taking care of his mom, who he loved dearly and helped care for since she’s unable to work.
Rony was one of the hardest-working people you could ever meet. He cared so deeply for everyone in his life, and it showed in the way he treated everyone with kindness and warmth. When he walked into a room, it just lit up—his presence brought laughter, joy, and a sense of comfort. He had this incredible ability to make anyone’s day better, no matter what they were going through. To those who knew him, Rony wasn’t just a friend; he was family. He gave his love and support freely, even when he was dealing with his own challenges. He made sure we all knew how much he cared for us, never letting a moment pass without showing his appreciation and love.Rony’s impact on all of us is unforgettable. He was a truly special person, and the world feels a little less bright without him.
I’m starting this GoFundMe to help with Rony’s post-life arrangements, including covering his celebration of life costs and addressing any outstanding debts, including living costs to fill the void left in his household. If you’re able to contribute, no matter the amount, it would mean so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support. We are still working on his funeral date as we work through the system.
