Support Rony Velasquez's Fight Against Glioblastoma

On behalf of Rony Velasquez and his family we are starting a fundraiser. Rony is the Porter (care taker) of Spectra our community, we have worked with him for several years now. We would be surprised if you did not know Rony because he is always in a happy mood and is very intentional. He is known for loving dogs, his family, and is amazing at keeping our community clean and welcoming.

Early May of 2025 Rony was having severe headaches so intense that he needed to stop working mid shift. He went home to go and see his doctor to figure out what was wrong. The doctor had made plans to run some tests at a later date, but the headaches became increasingly worse. On May 19th Rony was admitted to urgent care, during his visit they were able to do a CT Scan of his brain. At 2:30 in the morning Rony was told by the doctor that his headaches were being caused by a much larger issue. There was a Mass in his brain, a Glioblastoma. This is a highly aggressive and malignant type of brain tumor. Rony was rushed into surgery to have it removed and has been in between hospitals and nursing homes for the next 20 days. As of recent Rony has made it home to his wife, daughter, and his dogs.

As many of us know this is not an easy challenge to beat, Rony will be starting Chemotherapy and Radiation to try and get rid of the cancer that is left. We have started the goal at $5000, but honestly it is much greater than this. Rony will not be able to work or support his family through this terrible trial of life he is facing.
