Hello to all who are reading this fund raiser request. In January of this year, my brother, Ron Little was medically diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. He requires full time care and is confined to a wheelchair. Here, in his words is his story:

"As you may have noticed, I haven’t posted [on Facebook] in a very long time. In January I was diagnosed with cancer. My running friends, many with medical backgrounds, noticed a change in my behavior and motor function during runs and alerted Jenna [my wife]. She took me to the emergency room on January 26 and I was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, glioblastoma. I was told with treatment, I could expect to live another 2 years, though the treatment would cause a decrease in my cognitive ability. I chose to undergo treatment since without treatment life expectancy is about 4 months. Through the help of friends and family, I went through six weeks of radiation therapy and chemotherapy. We thought the treatment would give us a few months to enjoy life and maybe travel a bit. Unfortunately, I developed a severe auto-immune disease and have been hospitalized twice. My doctors told me that they thought I would die during the first hospital stay in June. Through weeks of rehabilitation (physical, occupational and speech therapy) I’m now home and holding steady, though I’m confined to a wheelchair and require a lot of care. It’s strange to think that less than a year ago I ran the California International Marathon in 3:04:19. With Thanksgiving coming up, I’m reminded of so much to be grateful for – I’m comfortable and happy, I have the tremendous support of friends and family (special shout-out to the Coastside Running Club, Pacifica Runners, and Belmont Runners), I received excellent rehabilitation care at California Pacific Medical Center, but most of all I’m grateful to my wonderful wife Jenna who dropped everything to take care of me."

Ron, a husband and father and a beloved member of his community and family is a kind, gentle soul, calm and caring. He's loyal, hard-working and very knowledgeable. He has previously started his own gaming company, worked for Sony and most recently worked for Pocket Gems. He took his love of running and went to great lengths to write details of each race so that he and others could learn. You can read them here https://ronlittle.blogspot.com/2021/.
His daughter works and would sure love to have her father walk her down the aisle someday. His wife Jenna works, manages his around the clock care, and is the sole provider.

Please pray, send good comforting thoughts and any amount you are able to do so. Any amount big or small will make an impact. Funds will help towards caregivers who are lovingly helping us. Funds will also go towards van rides or an accessibility van. We greatly appreciate this website forum (first time ever asking for anything like this) and greatly appreciate your thoughtful consideration. Bless you.
