Ronnie’s Prostate Cancer is Spreading PLEASE HELP! #KEEPRONNIESTRONG

Everyone who meets Ronnie instantly starts smiling as he truly lights up a room; he has an aura of friendliness that draws people in. His ability to listen and relate makes you feel valued from the first moment. It's like he has known you forever, even if it's only been minutes. Ronnie is truly an angel on earth – he makes everyone smile, he truly cares for everyone, and puts everyone before himself every moment of every day.

Three years ago, Ronnie was diagnosed with a devastating, fatal disease called Stage 4 Castration Resistant Metastatic Prostate Cancer. After Ronnie's 3rd PET scan this year, his results show that the cancer is growing and is resistant to the medications given. The disease has spread to his lungs and pelvis, causing respiratory and mobility issues that make working nearly impossible. There is also a significant risk of it spreading to other vital organs.

Symptoms and Side Effects Include:

Bone Pain: Frequent in the back, hips, pelvis, femur, and ankles.

Fatigue: Extreme, persistent tiredness.

Metastatic Effects: Weakness or numbness in arms/legs, swelling in limbs, pain in bones, anemia, and spreading to vital organs.

Weight Loss and Nausea: Unexplained weight loss, nausea, and vomiting.

Bone Metastases: Often leads to constant bone pain, as Ronnie is feeling in his pelvis, making him prone to brittle bones or fractures.

Lymph Node Spreading: Can cause swelling in the nodes themselves.

Treatment Side Effects: Ronnie’s hormone therapy gives him (hot flashes, fatigue, emotional changes, increased sensitivity, and anxiety), his radiation causes (fatigue, rectum/bladder burn and damage), and his chemotherapy leads to (nausea/vomiting, neuropathy, nerve damage to feet and hands). Loss of muscle tone, weight loss, failure to thrive, anxiety, and depression are continually present throughout his medication.

Because Ronnie’s cancer is metastatic, doctors have provided a typical window of one to three years. However, Ronnie is fighting to surpass those expectations, and with your help, he’s going to do exactly that. The doctors are advancing Ronnie to newer cancer trials, which means more aggressive, expensive treatments, and traveling to different states and hospitals for those treatments.

However, if nothing is done to stop or slow the progression of his disease, he will likely pass away before his 68th birthday.
