Hello everyone, my name is Michelle. I am writing this on behalf of my boyfriend Ronnie. Ronnie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease last year due to diabetes. In February, he became very ill with pneumonia, which unfortunately progressed his condition to Stage 5 ESRD (end stage renal disease). This has required him to begin dialysis.
We recently received the hopeful news that Ronnie has been approved for a kidney transplant, and his brother JT will be his live donor. We are so grateful for JT’s generosity and support! After the transplant, Ronnie and I (as his caregiver) will need to stay in Dallas for six weeks at the Twice Blessed House, as required by his medical team. Since we live in Killeen, this means we’ll be away from home, and Ronnie will need to attend frequent checkups and tests during this recovery period.
This is where we need your help. The cost of staying at Twice Blessed House is significant—more than most people’s mortgage—and we’ll also need to cover food and travel expenses. Both Ronnie and I will be out of work during this time, making it difficult to manage these costs on our own. Ronnie is eager to get back to a normal life and return to racing, but we can’t do this without some help. If you’re unable to contribute financially, we completely understand and would be grateful if you could keep Ronnie in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much for your kindness and support. – Michelle and Ronnie
