Support Ronnie In His Health Battle

Last week Ronnie (Ramu) Shankar and his wife Sneh took a trip to India. Instead of experiencing the fun of being recently retired, Ronnie was rushed to the hospital on Saturday morning because of continued sickness. Ronnie was diagnosed with cancer about three years ago and this has been the cause of much of the sickness he experiences. However, on Saturday he began experiencing issues with his heart. Once in the hospital, Ronnie began to undergo different procedures and operations in order to keep him breathing and his heart beating. Thankfully, Ronnie has continued to be strong and fight through the horrific pain from the operations. However, in recent days, the doctors have had to begin Ecmo treatment because Ronnie’s lungs and kidneys had stopped working. This is the last chance at saving him.

With the cost of the treatment and continued effort to save Ronnie, the costs of the medical expenses have reached a severely high amount. Medical insurance overseas is far different from that in the US, and has been unable to support the family during this overwhelming time.
