Support Ronnie Gerrity's Cancer Battle

Veronica (Ronnie) Gerrity has been a long-time local, living in the Gunnison Valley for 37 years. Ronnie has not had an easy go of it. In 1993, her husband had a traumatic brain injury and has been in the nursing home ever since, leaving Ronnie a single mother of 5. She has always been a worker bee, she worked 15 years for Dr. Wolkov in his office and then another 11.5 years for Dr. Chamberland in her office. The past 7 years, she has been working for Gunnison Valley Health in the Surgery Department.

In 2023, Ronnie was diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent Chemo and a partial lobectomy which they thought was a success! She came back to work and was doing great! Then in July 2024, the hospital offered to employees a free MRI to test the new machine. Ronnie signed up for that and figured let's do my brain, everything else has been scanned. During that scan, they found a brain tumor that metastasized from her lungs. She now is on her way to Denver to talk about treatment options, most likely radiation to start.

With all of this, she is not going to be able to work so any donation to her will help tremendously with her medical, mortgage and other daily expenses.
