If you went to Philadelphia University in the late '90s or early 2000s, chances are you knew RonDell (Dell) Clarkson - the friend who was always there with a smile, a joke or a helping hand. Today, he’s the one who needs our help.
Around Thanksgiving of last year, he became seriously ill with a severe bone infection that ultimately led to the amputation of his leg. Since then, he’s been out of work, navigating a recovery while waiting for disability benefits to come through. He has a prosthetic ready and waiting, but he’s currently on a waitlist for a rehab center where he can learn to use it.
In the meantime, he’s facing mounting medical costs and basic living expenses with very little support. We’re raising funds to help cover essential needs: things like rent, groceries, medical care, and transportation while he works toward recovery.
He gave so much to our community back then. Let’s come together now to give back to someone who truly made Philly U feel like home.
Every dollar counts. Every share helps. Thank you for your kindness.
