I am fundraising for my life long friend and basically family member, Ronda, while she faces her biggest challenge yet! A challenge that was not supposed to happen again, after having a double mastectomy in 2017.
Ronda has been fighting this battle with her close friends and family since this latest diagnoses in Dec. 2023. Of course, as luck would have it, she has a VERY aggressive form of cancer, in multiple places.
Im sure you can imagine, this is both emotionally and financially draining. Ronda should have been home resting a long time ago, but instead she has been powering through work as long as she possibly could, to keep the bills paid. Now it is time for us to rally around Ronda, to help her financially and help her feel the love and support.
Your donation will help Ronda cover monthly living expenses, while she finally takes some much needed downtime to rest and recover from her chemo, while she prepares for surgery. As well as medical bills that are not covered (because insurance will not cover it all)!
For those not aware of Rondas story, please see below.
As many of you are aware, Ronda has been diagnosed with a highly aggressive stage 3 breast cancer. Her first battle with cancer occurred in 2017, when she was diagnosed with non-invasive DCIS. She made the difficult decision to undergo a double mastectomy, in hopes of preventing a recurrence. Despite her proactive approach, Ronda now finds herself facing an even more daunting challenge seven years later, with a very aggressive, invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes and into her chest wall.
Due to the aggressive nature of her HER-2 negative cancer, Ronda's treatment plan includes various intensive therapies such as several rounds of chemotherapy, two surgeries, six weeks of radiation, and immunotherapy. Despite starting chemotherapy on January 31st, she has continued working, enduring the treatments while on her feet for eight hours most days. However, the latest rounds of chemo, administered at double the usual dose every other week, have prompted Ronda to recognize the need to allow her body to rest & her family and friends to step in to help.
In light of the increased toll on her body, in addition to not being able to work while recovering from surgery, it is time to reduce her workload and prioritize her health.
Ronda is going through so much right now and all of us who know and lover her, need her to allow us to step in and help her when she needs it most!
If you are able to donate, please do (no amount is too small)! If you are unable to donate, we absolutely understand and ask that you please consider sharing this!
This money will allow Ronda to be able to pay her rent & essential bills while recovering from surgery and to pay the medical bills that insurance isn’t covering.
