Urgent: Help Ronan’s Family Get Back on the Road!
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
Their car is failing them at the worst time—Ronan’s dad needs to get to work, and soon, they’ll need reliable transportation for his therapy and medical care.
Our sweet 4-year-old grandson, Ronan, has been in the hospital for nearly six weeks, bravely fighting for his life. What started as the flu turned into respiratory failure, two collapsed lungs, and ultimately ECMO—a last-resort life support machine that kept him alive for 10 days. He spent four weeks in the PICU and is now in an inpatient rehabilitation center, working daily with PT, OT, and speech therapy to regain his strength.
Ronan is also autistic, which makes this already overwhelming journey even harder. His routine and sense of security have been completely upended, and his parents have done everything in their power to provide comfort and stability for him through this traumatic experience.
Just as they were trying to recover from weeks of lost income, their only car has become unreliable. The mechanic confirmed that while it can be driven short distances, it is not safe or reliable for longer trips—which means they have no dependable way to get to work, the hospital, or the therapy appointments Ronan will need when he finally comes home.
On top of that, four weeks of lost income have made it nearly impossible to keep up with regular household expenses, let alone replace a car. They were already stretched thin, and this setback has made things even more difficult.
