Back in December, my father, Ron Sr., went in for what was expected to be a routine stent procedure. After returning to work about a month later, he began experiencing intense pain. It was soon discovered that he was suffering from a serious infection that required emergency aortic graft surgery.
During that surgery, my father was placed on a heart pump—and tragically, he suffered a stroke. While he was slowly recovering, just two weeks ago, we faced another terrifying setback: he flatlined and was without a heartbeat for three minutes. He was placed on a ventilator and spent several critical days in the ICU.
By the grace of God, Ron is now off the ventilator and showing signs of recovery. However, today we received difficult news—his insurance company has denied coverage for the rehabilitation he urgently needs. We are in the process of disputing that decision, but time is critical, and the medical expenses continue to pile up.
For those who know my father, you know that Ron is a vibrant, independent 74-year-old who still worked part-time and lived life to the fullest. His greatest joy has always been playing the drums—a passion that gave him purpose and lit up any room.
This journey has been incredibly hard on our family, but the love and support we’ve received from so many of you has been overwhelming and deeply appreciated. If you're able to help financially, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you can’t at this time, your prayers and warm thoughts are just as valuable and mean the world to us.
Thank you,
