Life, however, has thrown me a series of challenges. A few years ago, I lost both my parents within a short time. Supporting them in their final years was my priority, and I used my savings to ensure they were cared for. Soon after, I suffered a stroke that impacted my ability to work. Then, just as I was trying to rebuild my career, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer.

Chemo and immunotherapy have left me unable to work, and the writers’ and actors’ strikes have further diminished opportunities in my field. I’m now struggling to cover rent and basic bills while I focus on healing.
