Earlier this year, Jones was diagnosed with a rare heart disease: cardiac amyloidosis. He had been struggling with heart issues for a few years and finally got the appropriate tests that gave him this diagnosis. He also has other heart issues that are related to, and complicate, this disease. He went to Dominican Hospital on September 30th for a cardioversion to help with his AFib, and instead, they admitted him due to a blood clot and a high amount of fluids in his body. After a couple of days, he went into cardiogenic shock and was transferred into the ICU so that they could get the necessary medications into him via a central line. We are not sure how long he will be in the hospital and hope to get him home soon. I will provide updates but that's where we are now.

He does not know when he will be back to work and needs help with monthly bills while he recovers and can begin to function normally again.

We are asking for anything that you can give to help him so that he can get back to taking amazing photographs for you all, regaling everyone with his stories, being an amazing father and grandfather, and just getting back to his life.
