Desde el 8 de septiembre, Romel Montilla se encuentra detenido por ICE, separado de su familia sin haber cometido ningún delito. Siempre ha sido una persona trabajadora, responsable y respetuosa de la ley. Ama profundamente a su familia y cada día lucha por mantener la fe y la esperanza de poder volver a casa.
Romel es padre, abuelo, amigo y un hombre que siempre ha puesto a su familia en primer lugar. Hoy ya suma 5 meses detenido injustamente, una situación que ha sido extremadamente difícil para todos nosotros, no solo emocionalmente, sino también económicamente.
Romel tiene fecha de audiencia el 26 de febrero. Actualmente, le estamos solicitando una fianza federal que le permita continuar su proceso en libertad, junto a su familia. Para ello, necesitamos cubrir urgentemente los gastos de abogados y los costos legales de su defensa.
