Our baby boy, Roman Parra, went to be with our Lord and Savior. He fought the hardest battle I have ever seen him fight right up until his last breath. I can only imagine that #8 was running up the middle for his final touch down, directly into open gates and into the best hug of his life. There is no doubt that my baby is walking with Jesus. Roman sought to know God every single day and was usually found on the couch during lunch with an open Bible in hand. He was an incredible example of kindness to everyone he met. No one was a stranger and just a handshake was never going to cut it-everyone got a hug. He wanted you all to know God and would be so excited to hear how many people opened their Bible and wept on their knees holding strong in their faith. Roman spread love all over the nation this past week and nothing would please him more. He was the twins role model, Breckin’s confidant & protector, Lennon’s dancing partner and his dad and I’s best friend. We will miss his giant, genuine smiles, his warm hugs and his boisterous belly laugh every day, for the rest of our lives. Please continue to pray for our families and respect us as we grieve the loss of a lifetime. Please also continue to pray for his friends and their families from Eaton; Cooper, Cash, & Jack who also lost their lives. Pray for sweet Connor who survived and performed CPR on Roman giving us the time to say goodbye.

No words could ever express the feelings I’ve been through. First I would like to express my thanks to the angel who help my son get to the hospital. Connor you are an angel, thank you for your courage and bravery. Roman was the first GREAT to come into my life. He was the reason I changed my life for the positive. He got me through rough moments with just his presence. He was a great athlete but is more than that to me. Roman was strength, peace, inspiration, joy. Roman is what every father wants; a strong, handsome gentleman. There are so many things I could say about him, but if you knew him you know how GREAT his soul is. This will be the hardest thing I go through in my life. I’m thankful for all the memories I have with him. He will forever be my Little Bubba!! Fly high with the Angels, Son. I thank you for being one of my best friends. It was an honor being your father and friend. I love you more than words can express. I LOVE YOU SON!!!!!!
