Support Rollie's Fight Against Bone Cancer

Hi Everyone,

It’s not easy to ask, but when it comes to Rollie, we’ll do whatever it takes to give him the best chance at a long, happy life. Rollie is a 7-year-old, 120-pound Great Dane/Cane Corso mix who thinks he’s a lap dog. He’s playful, sweet, stoic, and a big baby all at once—truly the heart of our family.

In December, Rollie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer. Despite the odds, he’s shown incredible perseverance and strength. With the help of my boyfriend, Joe, who loves Rollie just as much as I do, we decided to give Rollie the best chance at life. We made the difficult choice to amputate his front right leg to remove the tumor and slow the spread. The surgery went well, and after some sleepy days, Rollie is now recovering like the champ he is. He's shown his usual grace and charm with life on three legs. Most importantly, he’s no longer in the pain he was showing before the surgery, and we’ve already seen his playful spirit return.

Rollie has always loved hiking in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, eating snowballs, or playing in the water. With treatment, we hope to give him more time to enjoy these simple joys he loves so much.

We're now preparing for chemotherapy to ensure the cancer doesn’t spread. After multiple X-rays, ultrasounds, and bloodwork, we’re relieved to know Rollie is otherwise in excellent health. This treatment will give him the best quality of life and as much time as possible to continue being the joyful, loving companion he’s always been.

Rollie has been with me through my mom’s passing and my college years, providing comfort and unconditional love. Now, I want to do everything I can to support him in return. Joe and I are seeking to raise $10,000 to cover his surgery, chemotherapy, and ongoing medical expenses. Rollie has always been by our side (even at night when he jumps into our bed) and we'd do anything for our sweet loyal boy.
