Help Us Lay Our Dad, Roland “Ro,” to Rest

Hi, my name is Rokeya, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my siblings — William, Ashley, Amanda, Zoriah, Rolanda, and Josiah. Our beloved dad, Roland (known by so many as “Ro”), passed away unexpectedly, and our family is heartbroken.

We’re doing our best to come together and make arrangements, but the cost of the funeral and burial — around $20,000 — is far more than we can afford. We’re still trying to find out if he had any insurance, but time is short and we have to make decisions soon.

Our dad meant so much to everyone who knew him. He loved his children and the people he was close to. He was hardworking, dependable, and always there for others — the kind of person who held everyone together. Ro was the center point for so many people, strong even when times were hard, and he kept things together when no one else could.

We want to give him the dignified service he deserves — a chance for all of us to say goodbye properly and celebrate the life of a man who gave so much of himself to others.
