The Rohingya Academic Research Institute (RAR Institute) is a Rohingya-led, non-profit Academic Institution founded in 2022 with a strong mission to provide inclusive, empowering, and accessible education for one of the world’s most persecuted, discriminated, and forcibly displaced communities. Our team of researchers, professors, educators, advocates, and community leaders works tirelessly to create opportunities for Rohingya youth to study, research, and lead, despite the challenges of displacement, statelessness, and limited access to formal education systems.

Since its founding, RAR has focused on building a generation of well-informed, skilled, and compassionate leaders who can advocate for their communities and contribute to global knowledge. Our work has been internationally recognized; in 2025 Rohingya Academic Research Institute received the Global Excellence Education Award from the Global Excellence Conclave powered by the International Education Accreditation Council in Bangkok, Thailand, reflecting the collective achievements of our students, educators, and partners.

Our mission is rooted in practical impact. RAR Institute provides academic programs, leadership training, and research opportunities across multiple disciplines, including Political Science, Law, Academic Research, Journalism, International Relations, and Education and Community Development. Through these programs, we equip Rohingya youth with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to advocate for their rights, document human rights violations, and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the world.

So far, our programs have helped hundreds of students’ access higher education, complete rigorous training, and develop professional skills. In 2025 alone, 12 students graduated after completing our academic programs. Our research and advocacy have contributed to better understanding and awareness of the challenges facing the Rohingya, and our partnerships with international scholars, academics, and human rights defenders continue to expand these opportunities.

This campaign aims to support 300 Rohingya refugee students in accessing higher education. Funds will be used to provide:

- Academic materials, online resources, and research tools

- Tuition and support for diploma and associate degree programs

- Online courses, workshops, and mentorship opportunities

- Access to educational technology, internet, and learning platforms

- Operational support to sustain programs and ensure accountability
