Hello everyone! My name is Catherine Messina and I am the founder and director of rogue wave, a contemporary company that uses neuroscience as a jumping off point for creation by looking at the brain and how it responds in different scenarios for inspiration. See more info on our company at our website!
We are fundraising on GoFundMe, simultaneously with other proceeds methods nights, to raise money to support our first ever, multi-city tour!!
rogue wave will tour our two longest dance works “bouquet” and “(my battery is low) and it is getting dark” to:
-Brushwood Center, a garden in Illinois
-Union Theater - in London, thanks to Finleigh Zach
-Majestic Theatre in Detroit, Michigan
Check out an excerpt of “bouquet:”
I know more than ever, money is tight, many needs are far more essential, and I understand what I am asking for might feel unnecessary. But, I am working to still be an artist, and provide unique, well-rounded, and well-funded experiences for my dancers. Creating, not consuming in this era feels important.
Your donation will go to flights, studio rental, tour accommodations, and dancer pay.
And join us, January 29th (7 PM) and January 31st (3 PM) at The Tank Theater in Midtown Manhattan for our mid season performance featuring works by Aryanna Allen, Caroline Alter, JG Luitje, and Catherine Messina. Ticket link here .
THANK YOU for reading and considering! Remember to #RIDETHEWAVE
