Support Rogue Schmidt performing @ Edinburgh Fringe Festival

I am Edinburgh Fringe Festival bound! My name is Rogue Schmidt, I was voted Chicago Reader's Best Comedian this year and now, I am taking my solo show, The Locker Room, to Scotland for the world's largest theater festival.

First, a little bit about this fundraiser: my original plan was to self fund, however, like many other folks living in the United States right now, I experienced layoffs and health complications. I had surgery earlier in the year on my vocal cords and now I am back in full swing, but that surgery also had a cost and then a month later my entire department at my corporate job was laid off. Everything has shifted for me in the last few months but I’m incredibly committed to this opportunity at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, leading me to ask for your help.

Now, a little bit about the show: The Locker Room is 55 minutes of my journey with growing up in competitive sports and ultimately quitting and then finding success in theater. This show is made of blood, sweat and satire. I sold out my entire original run of The Locker Room, audiences and the Chicago comedy community poured out their accolades for the show resulting in a once again sold out extension. It was clear to me that the show had a lot more life left in it, and room to blossom and grow even further.

So Why Fringe? Having The Locker Room seen on this platform could blast open doors for me, the festival is attended by accredited producers, bookers and talent agencies with the goal of finding new talent to platform and develop. My time in Scotland is necessary for career growth as a comedian, writer & producer.

Your money goes to securing my venue at The SpaceUK, getting from Chicago, IL to Edinburgh, Scotland, my lodging and all of the hidden costs it takes to put on a show; costumes, props, flyering, marketing, PR, insurance and more.
