Support Rogers Park's Speech and Debate Team

Hi donors! I'm asking for your support for Rogers Park's only high school speech and debate program. Our goal is to raise $2500 to provide travel opportunities for students in our under resourced community.

Last year, we started a team at Chicago Math and Science Academy, and in spite of a budget under $500, competed around the Chicagoland area, traveled to Springfield, and took home 2nd and 3rd place at the City Speech competition.

This year, we hope to expand on the early success of the program by competing more frequently and traveling out of state at least once. I know from my own experience in debate how formative an intellectual and creative home in high school can be. We already have incredible, hardworking, and curious students, and with a little extra dough, could take this show on the road in a very meaningful way.
