My name is Alex Kettering. In 2024, I purchased a property in a rural part of Pennsylvania and quickly became friends with a neighbor named Roger. He’s made me and my family/friends feel welcome in this new neighborhood from day one. To show our appreciation of friendship, I/we would like to give him a hand up!

According to Roger’s family, Roger has special needs and cannot live on his own. However, he is as bright as he is abundantly kind and has proven himself as an uplifting, positive and steadfast friend.

In the last few years, Roger lost his beloved mother and was forced to relocate to live with his sister sibling. Roger nearly lost his life to COVID, having been put on life support until he finally pulled through.

Roger lives a healthy lifestyle and always has. Other than consuming bits of his favorite chocolates and candy throughout the day, Roger takes care of himself by walking, drinking copious amounts of water and refraining from alcohol and tobacco. His stated goal for the year is to eat more salads!

Roger is currently employed as a dedicated custodian at a local grocery store in rural Pennsylvania. He travels past my place 5 days a week at 3am and works very hard for the things he has in life.

Roger enjoys sports (anything Philadelphia), games (Jenga especially) doing yard work, and socializing with people. He is quick to offer compliments to complete strangers. If you happen to be wearing any type of military gear, he will quickly approach and thank you for your service. He is very proud of his family and friends and keeps people very close to him, often saying he prays for their safety and well-being. Whenever he passes by and stops in to talk, he offers his assistance with the many projects at my place.

When asked what Roger could have in life to make it more comfortable, he once told me that he would like to have teeth (dentures). The purpose of this fundraiser is to help out our dear friend Roger so he can get the teeth he needs to live more comfortably!

**Roger doesn’t know this fundraiser is in the works. We hope to surprise him on or near his birthday in mid-March 2026**
