Supporting Roger (and Donna) Tilson

Hi my name is Tonya Tilson and Roger Tilson is my brother in-law. My husband is Roger's brother Clark. Currently, we reside in the state of Indiana and feel the need to do something to help Roger and Donna as they go through Roger's cancer battle. As everyone might be aware, Roger is currently in the fight for his life as he is battling a form of stomach cancer. Roger is a staple when it comes to those from Marion, Virginia. It never fails anytime we come into town and go out somewhere in Marion or even an hour out of town we run into someone who knows Roger! We both feel that he is the "unofficial Mayor of Marion." As we are all very aware, medical care costs these days even with insurance are out of control. When you add on cancer treatment, and home health care to those costs they can add up very quickly. Neither Roger or Donna have ever asked for any help with any of the financial obligations. This is just our way of wanting to try to help them out in any way possible from 7 1/2 hours away. When you are now taking money that you normally set aside each month for just the daily cost of living and then add medical costs on top of that the money doesn't last very long. We are reaching out to you, family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to help us in providing Roger and Donna some extra funds to use wherever they might be needed. Roger would be the first one to give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his pocket if he felt it would help someone. We have seen this first hand. We are now asking you to do the same for him. Even if it is just a dollar, your support would be noted. We thank you in advance for helping us support these two special people during a difficult time.
