Hi my name is Amanda. My dad Roger is a former Marine, a Reverend at a small one room country church, and the best dad and granddad to 4 grandkids that anyone can ask for. September 8th all that almost changed forever. I went to my dads house to check on him because he wasnt feeling well that morning and he was unresponsive on the floor with a blood sugar reading of 37. He cooperated and went to the hospital where the diagnosed him with a UTI so severe he was septic and a prostate issue. They admitted him so they could get rid of the UTI and stabilize his blood sugar. We were totally unaware at this time of the mini heart attack he had on this day. Fast forward to September 11th while in the hospital he had a major heart attack and had to have a heart catheter put it in. The right side of his heart was 100% blocked and the left was 85% blocked. The dr stated that no matter what my dad had to have heart surgery in order to live. But the chances of losing him were high due to his health conditions and his age.

So on September 16th, my dad, at 76 years old, had double bypass surgery. He was hospitalized for 2 weeks and then was released to a rehab facility for physical therapy because along the line thru all this we believe he may have had a stroke also. He has been released this past weekend from the rehab facility but still is not fully recovered or able to drive or work or return to normal life fully. I am asking for donations for him due to him not being able to work and the new medications they have prescribed him that even with help are still hundreds of dollars out of pocket after insurance but he has to have and there are improvements that need to be made at his home now for him to safely live alone. My dad has worked hard all his life and he was still working the day he went in the hospital and is planning to return to work once hes recovered. Thru all this dad has never doubted God and had found God's grace thru it all!!! Please if you can donate. Any donation, big or small, will be very much appreciated. My dad has never asked anyone for handouts, but he needs a little extra help right now. All prayers are very much appreciated because the grace of God is the only thing that got my dad through this and keeps my dad alive for me and his grandkids.
